Doing my first pad and rotor replacement tomorrow. Should I put the anti squeal on the back of the pads the night before - or an hour or two before I do the job? Not sure how long it needs to setup. Caliper grease (Sta-Lube from Bavarian Autosport) on the guide bolts? Anywhere else?
thanks to anyone that has an opinion.

Probably too late for you, but I've never had good luck with the goop. Let us know how you fared.

On my last brake job, I removed the fibrous insulators from the OEM pads and installed them on the new ones. In the past, I actually fabricated insulators from some Teflon sheet stock I happened to have.

Barring that, most well-stocked auto parts stores sell stick-on insulators.

Thanks edjack, interesting you should mention that because the passenger front pads are squealing once the they heat up. Am going to pull apart this weekend but will look for these insulators
