I can't locate the headlight washer pump. Ifollowed the water hose, and it stops right at the windshield wahser pump, but there is no connection there.
My car also has an auxillary washer container on the firewall.
Any ideas?
the Bentley manual says the headlight washer reservoir mounts on top the windshield washer!

thanks

Not sure about your model, but most have a reservoir with two pumps. The lower pump hoses the windscreen, and the upper pump hoses the headlights.

The theory here is that the windscreen has priority over the headlights, so there will be fluid availabe for the windscreen after you've used up that which was allotted for the headlights.

Thank you Ed.
My model is 1990, 525i, M20, E34.
I am positive there is a second reservoir on top of the Windshield washer reservoir, but I seldomly see it mentioned.. I think the previous owner removed the entire headlight reservoir.
I'll check realoem for thre part, just to take a look.

thanks agai
