The walls are painted, the floor has all the glue de-glued, and scraped up.

We had fresh rasberries off the bush in the backyard today, yum!

First mask off all the baseboards and trim by the floor.

Next thing to do was to get all the crap off the floor before we could epoxy it. We tried the Behr Concrete Wash/Cleaner, and it didn't touch the old carpet glue.
Next we put down several of these stripper products for 24 hours to see if they would put a dent in the carpet glue, one did, but we used that for less then 1/4th of the area. The rest we ended up scrubbing off and scraping off with razors, several hours by 3 of us on our hands and knees.
We didn't want to just put the really nasty stuff on there and leave it as we were working in the basement and didn't want to kill the remaining brain cells with chemicals.
Some of the products we tried:

Then we put down the Behr concrete etching acid. Did small sections at a time to keep the fumes down. This opens up the concrete so the primer can bond to it.

All the white marks on the floor are where we filled in cracks and pits in the floor with concrete patching.

We used Behr concrete primer and epoxy on the floor, first the primer this afternoon, then a 2nd coat of primer an hour later.

The primer makes the concrete look dark, but it's supposed to do that, so the label says:

About 1am, 8 hours after the 2nd coat of primer, I put down a coat of epoxy. Here is a picture of the can lid, the color is a light green. Right now after seeing nothing but that color for a few hours I'm not so sure about the color. Oh well, we'll see if I like it in a week.
