Hi, my 1984 318i is for sale. It's located in Cambridge, MA (near Boston).

It has 190k miles and is black with beige leatherette interior. One family owned. Car looks great, clean interior and exterior has scratches and dings, but still gets a lot of attention. Everything works (AC, heat, radio, lights, instrument cluster). Manual locks, sunroof and window cranks. Starts, run great, idles fine. Just drove cross-country with no worries. Light and fast. Asking $900. The parts alone are worth much more, but I’d like to see it go to someone who will keep her whole.

I have ALL maintenance records since new. No expenses spared, most work done by Porsche/BMW indie shops. Recent items are:

New front brake calipers, rotors and pads
New clutch and rear engine seal 2 years ago
New LEMFORDER control arms
Good working steering rack, 6 yo
New master and slave clutch cylinders
BOGE gas struts, gives firm ride

New cooling system (car very cool in summer, and warms up well in winter, needle always in the middle, even with AC on a hot day!):
New LASO water pump (the best—metal propeller type)
All new LEMFORDER hoses
New T-stat
New BEHR radiator
Viscous fan replaced with new 1250 CFM electric fan with electric temp switch.
Low temp thermal switches and senders

New Bavarian Autosport 8mm ignition wires.
New cap, rotor. 5 yo new BOSCH distributor
New cold start valve and switch
K&N filter (have stock unit)
Reman alternator
New idle control ecu, replaced main ecu last spring with one from '85
New AFM
Sears diehard (euro) battery 4 years old
Almost all relays are new
New throttle cable
New OS
New fuel filter

3 spoke wheel from 325is/M3
Reupholstered Recaros out of a Euro 323
15 inch rims with 205/55 VR Kuhmo Summer tires
14 inch bottelcaps with 195/60 rubber
BSS Front spoiler (OEM for Euro 323) with KZW e30m3 fog lights
New taillight gaskets, new license plate lights
New Lloyd mats
Bentley e30 manual

Problems:
Some rust on lower rocker panels and undercarriage
Leaking slowly from timing chain cover
Small crack in exhaust manifold
Cat is on it's way out (rattles), exhaust has small hole.
Driveshaft is going. Was regreased when clutch replaced, but maybe a year or two left on it.
Rear subframe bushings shot
Probably needs sunroof seals, some fogging on windshield
Not very good in snow—light + RW drive + summer tires = snow no go
