Hey Bill,
The all-red tail lights is a great idea. I don't use the turn signals anyway, so that part can't matter... don't even have the wiring for turn signals anymore I don't think...

I'd love to powdercoat the bumpers, but the budget is getting tight and the racing season hasn't even started yet!

Wow, the car looks great! We'll definitely turn out when you come to race in Abbottsford. You should post your race schedule so the Unofficial faithful can turnout.

I'm considering mounting some ground effect mods on my otherwise mechanically sound (knock wood) cabrio. I'd be interested to hear how you go about fabricating mounting brackets for that '87ish lip spoiler and what special considerations go into painting flexible parts like that valience and the trunklid spoiler?

Here is my race schedule for 2004:

Conference Race dates:

April 17-18 at Mission
May 8-9 at Portland
May 22-23 at Seattle
June 5-6 at Portland
June 12-13 at Mission
July 16-18 at Spokane
Aug 7-8 at Seattle
Aug 28-29 at Portland
Sept 4-5 at Mission
Sept 25-26 at Portland
Oct 2-3 at Seattle
Oct 16 Enduro at Portland

The weekend schedule is basically always like this:
Friday: Test and Tune
Saturday 9-12: Practice
Saturday 12-5: Qualifying, Novice Race

Look for the big red trailer... although it may be white with ///M stripes at some point this year.

As for mounting the is spoiler, I'm using the factory bracket on the car.
The body is an '86 325e, with 'i' drivetrain, 4.10 LSD, etc

Mission is just north of Abbotsford, which is about 60? miles east of Vancouver.

Here is the website for the track: http://www.missionraceway.com/

We're hoping to have at least 4 E30s out in our grid. Probably at least 4 more in another class.... _if_ everyone get's their car going in time.

I'm definetly gonna try to be there. It would be great to see E30's in action!
And I have to admit, there is something absolutly HORNY about BMW's in white and factory race stripes

Cheers'

Both doors are on, new plastic rear window is in.
Bought the red paint to do the tail lights all red, as Billo suggested.
Got a 1/2 dozen things to do to the car before the 17th and I'll be ready to race.
Got the number panels, and 'unofficialbmw.com' decal ordered.

I have shock rebuild kits on order from Ground Control. I sure hope they get here in time!

The car is really starting to come together!

Dale
