Anyone have the manual section on replacing an ignition? Also is replacing the ignition alone OK or does something else need to be replaced with it. Also is there any way to make an extra key for my new ignition, it only came with the one.

There's a big thread about this on the E36 board from a few days ago (remember your's is basically an E36). The upshot is that a new ignition barrel and key will take a long time to arrive from Germany, since it needs to be specially built for your car.
