1987 BMW 325 ( 325e ) Coupe E30- California car with low miles $2050 obo

I’m the second owner of this BMW. I bought it in California two years ago and planned to keep it for the next 200,000 miles. However I’m moving to New York and can’t keep a car anymore. I will need to keep the car until August 31.

I have driven this car across the country and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. However it is nearly a 20 year old car and things will wear out. Owning any car of this age will require more maintenance than a new car.

Highlights:
-Cheap to purchase and operate
-fun to drive (peppy engine and handles corners well)
-best looking of all the bmw 3 series imo
-dependable transportation

Details:
Seats , dashboard in great condition- very little wear.
Working A/C
Sunroof
ABS
5 speed manual transmission ( 5spd 5 spd )
2.7 L 6 cylinder engine
122,000 miles
Spent all but last 2 years in Berkeley, CA (virtually no rust)
Luxorbeige metallic paint (light brown)
Stock except for recent installation of Bilstein touring shocks
30 mpg highway
fully functional radio and electric antenna

Recent Work:
Timing belt/water pump
Shocks

Issues:
-This car was attacked by the parking nazi in JP. It has been keyed on the hood and sides.
-a small dent in front and a small dent in the back
-missing glovebox ( I may pick one up)
- steering rack is leaking and needs to be replaced. The car can be driven indefinitely in this condition. However you need to add power steering fluid weekly.
-idle is sometimes erratic. This is a common problem but doesn’t hurt the car at all.

I also have complete Yakima roof rack for sale separately with ski and kayak attachements.
