I would disconnect the MP3 player to see if the systems now work correctly. The new unit may be drawing too much current from the circuit.

If so, you will need to find a better feed for the radio. Get a Bentley manual.

It is probably the resistor pack inside the heater duct. The Bentley will help you find it.

You may have disturbed an already weakened pack while installing the radio...
