I own a 2000 323 convertable and wonder about the RPM's while cruising for long periods of time.
Currently if I'm driving 65 mph I'm at 3000 rpm. 80 mph is more like 3700. I'm used to seeing 3000 at 80 mph with other cars.
Anyone have any thoughts as to whether 3000-3500 is to much for highway driving and sustained speeds. |

I have a 325 ci, same engine than yours. This engine is well built and designed for much higher speed, so that's nothing for the long life expected for it. The only thing that damage an engine is not wait until normal oil temperature and not respect oil changes and quality. |
