I feel like a weenie even asking about this, but my 1 month old 330CI is getting numerous stone chips on the front end. I have this commute on the 605 in SoCal, which is littered with gravel. I have to make a choice, either I get a bra, find somebody to do that Stone Guard stuff for a few hundred bucks, or live with what will soon be a chipped up new car. Any suggestions? If anyone here has put a bra on their 330, which one did you use and how did it fit?
Thanks

You are not alone. Kicked up debris nicks are a bane to all slopy front end cars. Success with bras is mixed. Some people like it and others feel that it could damage the paint surface worse than the debris by constant rubbing and accumulation of dirt behind the bra. Have you check into the transparent film which 3M and other people make for protecting car's front end? It blends beautifully into the paint surface and is not obtrusive. The shape of the film is custom cut on a computer to exactly fit your model. Sometimes a stark white paint may contrast slightly with the film as the film ages. That is what I was told but other colors work very well. I am considering applying it to my '97 528i but the hood needs to be repainted before I will spend the money for the transparent film.
