The center armrest in the middle of the backseat has a flap with velcro, pull it out. Then there is a foam cover you can remove. Then there is this plastic cover there with a circle in the middle perfect to cut a hole there to let the bass go in. When you donīt want it down, then you just pull the velcro flap up again. Itīs a very clean thing.

Thenit would be the only E46 Iīve known of without an armrest in the back and youīll have to open up some holes beside the rear speakers and try and fancy it up with a grille/mesh type cover.
