I have a 325, so I'm not sure how your front calipers work. Normally there is a piston on either side of the disk. When you press on the brake the pistons expand toward the disk causing the swueezing acition that slows the wheel. Eneven where wuld be cause by one pistion bieng stuck. another type uses one piston to actuate both pads. Uneven wear with this type would be from the self adjusting mechinism being stuck. In either case, a good cleaning, and possibily rebuilding the caliper should take care of the problem. Sticking pistons are usually caused by not changing the fluid, stuck mechanisms by not throughly cleaning the sliding parts during pad replacement. Your pedal should come back when you replace the pads. In the stuck pison case, if the fluid is so bad the calipers are stuck, then the brake master, and both clutch master/slave are probably not far behind. I recently purchased my 87,had to replace all of the above. good luck.
