I am trying to figure out how the motor engages the bowden cables. I got both motors working, but there are two parts for the motor to turn, the lid part is fine, but the bowden cable part doesn't seem to have a way to connect to the motor part. There is a tab on the side, but it doesn't engage with the lid part. Here is a video I made showing how they don't engage.

What am I missing?

Seems that lid motor lever was bent. Looking at this picture this one is flat, mine was bent. Straightened it out and it locks now! _________________

Hey John... How are ya? Glad you got the top working. Strange how something like that just takes a great comparison! _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong!
