history: 1995 320i euro specs came from canada
1: water pump failed after complete flush
2: replaced water pump with one with composite impeller and added bar's leak for lubracation ( this is my mistake) sept
3:worked for several months until it began to overheat in early december
4: replaced water pump with one with a metal impeller. late december
Now I can run car until the rpm's drop to idle and then the output from the heater drops and the gauge begins to rise. If I raise the rpm's to 1500- 2000 rpm's the gauge backs down to mid range and the heater output increases.
I'm thinking a stewart high preformance water pump?
Any thoughts?

Did you bleed the coolant system correctly on each Water Pump replacement? If you haven't, you have Air Pockets trapped inside the system causing incorrect cooling. Have you also replaced Thermostat?
