90325i Got a wee bit of coolant seepage on the temp sensor that sits just beneath front tip of the fuel rail, (not the more forward one). Would like to pull it, re-seal it. Tried to remove wiring connect, but didn't want to "force" it.

Suggestions?

Thanks... tncean

that is a pita isn't it ?
i often wondered why we cant put that sensor in the 2 plugged holes which has more room, but the size is wrong...anyways. to answer your question, the easy way is the hard way...don't force it, b/c things may break.

pretty sure its 2 10mm bolts, a long screw driver or lever, and about 30 minutes. (for something that could, should be 5 minutes)

Am guessing you're saying the fuel rail needs to come up to access the sensor?

thats how ive done it (every time except the 1st).
the 1st time i tried to slip it out by itself (as i think it should be able to) i broke it, and had to buy a new one.

since then, ive picked up a few spares at the wrecking yards due to them being 30 bucks each...as opposed to 1 buck.
