had a low speed close encounter with a deer. Deer 1 car 0. Could have been much worse. Anybody have the piece of trim that goes on the bottom of the spoiler they would be willing to part with?

I don't cause 95% of the parts I have are for my 1985.
But I'm glad you're OK Ken. Hitting a deer is often like hitting a rock wall, and it sounds like both you and the car came out fairly OK, albeit both a tad bruised... one ego, one front air dam.
I checked eBay and there was nothing that would have fit the bill. _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 231,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong!

I'd sell ya mine because I have an IS spoiler to go on. Problem is I can never get around to having it painted. Alas, maybe this year.
But anyway, they do turn up on ebay from time to time so keep looking!
You'll probably need a few of the clips as well. _________________ Bob

I had a run in, or should I say run-over, with a thrown tread from a semi that knocked off my spoiler a while back. The standard trim piece is still available for about $60 dollars, I got mine from PelicanParts, while the IS version is about $175. The clips are inexpensive, and after a little work straightening out the valance, looks just fine. If I had a deeper spoiler, which would look better, and probably do a better job of channeling air away from under the car, I'm pretty sure the damage would have been more severe.

do you need the spoiler or the valance, I know someone in seattle selling a cheap valance. The spoiler is around $110 new I think. _________________ 1987 325i Convertible

I only need the black trim piece, goes on the bottom
I also need one of the spoiler grilles. The top one behind the license plate was also lost. Not as worried about it, very hard to see that it is gone. |

Thought I would get some comments on the license plate...heres the story.
My wife is a believer in the power of the moon...full moon crazies, mood swings, etc. and we were fortunate to spend 4 years in Spain during my time in the Navy. Thus the Luna, moon in spanish. Not enought space for BMW on the plate, so the BM could be short for BMW or Beam.
First time my neighbor saw the plate he asked...I thought you liked the car...why Moon Bowel Movement?
Much to my wife's dismay, it's been Moon Sh*t ever since |
