Hello All,

I wanted to get your opinion on this. I've just replaced the brake lines and the brake fluid with superblue in an E38. Everything seemed ok after bleeding the brake but as soon as I turn the car on the pedal goes quite a ways to the floor and still works. After I turn the car off I can pump it back up to a good position. Is the master cylinder shot?

I suspect that the ABS has air in it. You need the BMW computer to exercise it to properly bleed the system.

Has anyone done that on their own without the assistance of a special bmw computer?

Thanks,

-Sean

No known procedure w/o the computer.

How did you bleed the brakes? pressure bleeder? Or pumping the brake pedal? If the latter, you may have damaged the seals in the master cylinder.
