Hello everyone

I have a (automatic trans) 97' 528i

A few weeks ago, the transmission stop shifting...stays in 1st however;I figured out a way to help it shift by manually bringing it to S3 and back to D for each gear...seems to work fine! Any thoughts?

PS: if possibly related, about the same time, I also noticed my radio will not play with the engine cutoff and ignition on ACC...normally, the radio should play.

Get the trans codes read. If none, I suspect the ignition switch is bad.
