I have a 1991 318is I am parting with. My wife wants us to simplify our 3 car driveway. Here's the scoop:

Richmond, Virginia area
130K miles
M42 engine, runs smooth, no oil leaks, use Mobil 1 synthetic oil.
5 speed manual, recently re-lubed with Redline synthetic oil.
Differential recently re-lubed with synthetic oil.
Catalytic converter, muffler, and resonator replaced at 125K miles.
Brake pads replaced not long ago.
Replaced the plug wires and plugs at about 120K.
Diamond Black paint.
BBS Aluminum wheels with intact hubcaps (2 replaced)
Leather seat covers - look great (like Ricaro).
4 new audio speakers installed.
Power windows work.
Power mirrors work (replaced switch).
Central locking works.
Replaced the headlamps with Hella H1 bulbs.
Have the service interval reset tool (electronic deal).
Have the Chilton or Haynes manual (not sure which).
Have 3 or 4 spare oil filters, new water hoses, new belts, misc parts.
Sunroof doesn't work (is closed).
Airbag probably doesn't work (don't know).
ABS installed, but have never heard the pump function.
No radio installed, but speakers are wired and ready to go.
Wipers currently are sporadic. The motor or gearbox needs lubing apparently. The motor works, but only drives the wipers if given a pull on the wiper.
A/C needs a charge of freon, but otherwise works (compressor kicks in OK and it chills somewhat).

Was in a relatively low-speed accident in late 2005. I was run off the road, up a curb and into a side-rail. It damaged the LF (driver's side) fender and left part of the bumper. Also broke the yellow part of the left rear turn signal. The fender probably needs replacing and the car needs a 4 wheel alignment, though it rides very well (even at 80mph). The aluminum rim was bent, but I had a spare, so there are 4 good aluminum wheels. I would recommend getting a steel spare (cheap) and remounting the tire in the trunk on that.

I have primed and painted the small patches of bare metal to avoid rust. It actually looks pretty good.

The "fair" price from Kelly Blue Book is $1300, which covers the damage to the body. I put about $600 in for the exhaust, $200 for the seat covers, $200 for the headlamp replacements, $100 for the service reset tool, $100 for hubcaps, and a lot more for various stuff: switches, lights, lubes, parts, etc. I was looking for $1900 initially, but am motivated to sell it, so I've lowered the price to $1750.

You can reach me via e-mail at bmw@suleske.com

Christopher

Is this still for sale? I have family in Hampton, VA; and that would be a great excuse to come home...

Yes, it is still for sale. I took it to a local shop to have it inspected.

OK, so let me see what time I can get to come up and see it. Or maybe we can organize a mid-way meet?

I miss my 84 325e so bad, and I need to get another one started back up.
