Im wicked spoiled livin in colorado, anytime i feel, i can go out and, in five minutes, be working my way up a winding canyon road. The best to listen to for that on a dark night would have to be Kid A by radiohead, the whole album, amazing. Also a rockin song is Roundabout by Yes, it gets me pumped for my biking, its like an epic adventure, happy, sad, and ROCKIN!! cant forget Going the Distance by Cake

Roadstergal-good choice with the Leonard Cohen, didn't know any other Americans knew of him. Also a good choice with L7.

For a road trip I would have to choose Zero-7's "Simple Things" CD.

I noticed Depeche Mode came up several times. Good stuff for serious driving. Makes me drive like a well oiled machine.

If you want to get serious about the German connection...Does anyone remember Trio? I think Volkswagon used the "Da Da Da" song in an ad not to long ago. It's a fun album. Go to Amazon and check out some samples.( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000001EWS/ref=m_art_li_1/002-2338676-4520811?v=glance&s=music )"Da Da Da' will probably ring a bell with most, and put a smile on your face.

Well, here's one I think very few will know:

THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE SALUTE YOU
from: THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE SALUTE YOU,
1969, by Colosseum, a jazz-blues-rock fusion
band. This song is 19+ minutes long and
includes some awesome saxaphone by Dick
Heckstall-Smith.

The album and song titles are slightly
questionable as different dicography sites
have them as "THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE"
and "THOSE ABOUT TO DIE". They may just be
shortening the correct title.
