so, i am reluctantly posting to (maybe) sell my beloved '89 iX. let me tell you a little about the history. i am the 3rd owner and the car is in very solid shape. ive owned it about a year now and put on about 10,000 miles in that time. never has left me stranded, and always starts right up. right now it has 208,000. 4 dr 5 sp red (new paint in last 3 year) w/black int., no hesistation, doesnt burn oil, no leaks, ac blows cold, heated seats, nice sporty exhaust (not too loud, but definitly gets attention), awd still works excellent. since ive owned it the following items have been replaced: 4 tires, rear shocks, both CA arms, poly bushings, right strut mount, both shock mounts, t-belt, starter, battery, thermo, wiper motor, blower motor, k&n filter. stuff that probably needs soon, aux fan, a ratter in front, cant tell if its the shock or what, but i could never get that nut really tight, sun roof leaks in very wet weather, rear passenger window doesnt work, some surface rust, but the paint looks great. fyi, the poly bushings are loud on bumpy roads, but are great in the twists. sale is dependent on interest and price, seeing that im very attached to the car and am still not sure if i actually do want to sell it. but, i am in debt right now and could use the extra money. i am located in cambrige ma. pm me and i can give you a call. asking $3500 or b.o. thanks.

wow, my friend bought this same car for 9k...

and his is not perfect ...

anyways..just a thiink aboutt the leaking sunroof,,,have you tried vasiline...or petro-jelly..it will seal up the small cracks and help/prevent water from entering...

reflect before you sell, im not sure many of these ever go, but when they do, there sure is a demand for them.(if they know what a ix is)..

happy trails.

jwilson, sunroof is never designed nor built to be water tight. Excess water should drain off efficinetly through some holes in the sunroof channels. If water comes into the cabin, it means the drain(s) maybe clogged.
