I recently bought a E34 1990 525i, I started to do the minor repairs that
are needed and did the stamp test for the codes trouble codes. The code I
received (1222) suggested that I need to change the lambda control #1. I
don't know what that is. Is that the O2 sensor? the exhaust is burning very
rich, and the MPG meter is off the chart the wrong way. I also have no heat,
but the A/C works fine. Please help me. Thanks |

The two symptoms are probably unrelated. Maybe someone out there has experience with the climate control on this model.
The oxy sensor probably does need replacing. There may be two on your car, one before, and one after the catalytic converter. Lambda 1 is probably the front one. |
