In my search for a solution to get my aftermarket DVD changer hooked into my DSP sound system, I saw the new Alpine 6 disc CD/DVD/MP3 changer. This unit just came on the market. It has Alpine's AI.NET bus and they also offer an adapter to run it on the older Alpine M Bus.

Can anyone tell me if this unit can just be installed in place of the existing BMW changer in the car? From reading thru other posts, I see where somebody stated the BMW changer is actually an Alpine unit.

This would be a GREAT solution to my current lack of quality sound from me DVD/MP3 changer.
