hey there ... just picked up a very nice 98 M3 sedan.

i'm a big fan of 'sleeper' cars -- i was wondering if anyone gan give me info on removing the "M3" badge from the rear of the car. are there locator holes? or is it just stuck on? should i use a heat gun?

thanks!
zs

You can remove the badge.. Just pull it off, there are no holes behind the emblems.. Just use your hands and not a screwdriver otherwise you will scratch the paint.. Use some rubbing compound to blend in the marks (if any) made by the badge..

thanks serge1

i did this a couple of days ago ... got a hot tip to run some dental floss between the emblem and car to get it off. worked like a charm!

there was some crud left over that i rubbed off.

i cleaned the trunklid and put some NuFinish where the emblem was, and you'd never know it was there.

thanks
