I am seriously considering swapping my Ti for a 325 Sport Convertible.

I still can’t make a decision on what to do. I’m in the UK and I suppose a convertible isn’t the best all round choice but I really like it :o) Haven’t made a decision whether to buy outright or lease for 2-3 years. I hope to test drive the car in the next few weeks and might not like it and will
either stick with the Ti, or may also consider the coupe instead, but really fancy the Convertible.

Any opinions on the new convertible would be appreciated. Also any opinions on leasing over buying would be good as well.

At the moment I’ve got a Hi-Fi system installed in my Ti by a BMW specialist company. My concern after looking at the convertible dash and radio/navigation unit how easy is it to do after market upgrades ? Is it the type of situation where you can do it easily ? do it but it doesn’t look
as good ? or forget after market and have the high-end system installed by BMW ? I’m a little cautious of the high-end BMW one as many people on other BMW lists have reported it to be very poor ?

Thanks for any help,
Stuart.

Hi ! your ti is a 318 or 323ti ?Go for the conv. its so stylish car that your compact will be no match for it. I have a E36 325i conv., and it has original BMW hifi system (10 speakers), and it really is a good one. The normal systems arent so special. It really "bangs" like you'd have a sub woofer in your car. The E46 console is build that way that only the original fits well.
