Subject: Kleen Wheels
I'd have to second Duane Collie's opinion regarding Kleen Wheels.
First, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using them if all you
ever do is daily commuting and relatively legal speed highway
cruising. We used to sell a ton of them to the Mercedes crowd, and I
actually used them on my wife's car and my mother's car with no
problems. As a matter of fact, there was a set on my old 528e when I
bought it and they had kept the factory alloys looking brand new.
But, if you do any agressive driving, or for some reason get them
installed backwards (they are directional) you develop untold amounts
of heat. Plus, once you put them in, odds are they will never come
out in one piece again. I'd actually be surprised if they actually
had them in a 17" size for M3 wheels.
